Tellus was the Roman goddess of the earth, the equivalent to the Greek goddess Gaia. And you just might see the hint of a misty morning, the foam of an ocean's waves, the promise of a summer's day, or the fiery blaze of a golden sunset in some of my pieces. I'm attracted to and inspired by the abundant colours and textures in nature.
My preferred media are semiprecious gemstones and sterling silver or 14K gold-filled components. I love that every rock comes from the earth and has been shaped and formed over millennia to be completely unique. Just like each of us!
I believe in simple but elegant accessories that you can wear season after season. Things that could either be unexpected conversation-starters, or as familiar as your favourite sweater. Ultimately, things that make you feel really special in the knowledge that no one else has the exact same piece. Trends are transient; I've never been one for fads or mass-produced stuff.
My work tend to evolve because I like to experiment with different styles and techniques. Many pieces are one-off designs or limited edition. All are lovingly created by hand in a smoke- and pet-free home!
