My interest in working with metal developed while studying Fine Art at Guelph University. While etching copper plates with nitric acid was fun printing editions was tedious! I loved the process of creating in metal and was easily able to transfer my skills to silver using the same etching techniques I had learned at school. I've recently begun to create with metal clay which makes my jewellery making non-toxic and environmentally friendly. Each piece whether using traditional means or pmc is made by hand; pierced, sanded, textured, formed and polished with care.
