A warm welcome to you, dear visitor/customer!

I was privileged to grow up in a village in Central Switzerland, surrounded by majestic mountains and beautiful nature. As a family we spent hours on end walking and hiking, and my father transmitted his immense love for flowers and nature protection to me and my brother.

My own discovery tour within Arts began quite late in my life. Photography became a big hobby, followed by drawing. I assisted many perspective drawing classes which led many years later to dry pastel painting (flowers, portraits, landscapes). A few exhibitions confirmed that the way I had chosen was certainly guiding me into the right direction.

My biggest wish, however, has always been to work with pure silk. I love to wear silk clothes ... the touch of it, the lightness of this luxurious material. The step to creating some of them myself was actually already given. A first silk painting class had me "hooked" right away ... and then, my hunger to know as many techniques as possible, to learn about all the different silk materials as well as dyes, waxes, resists seemed to be growing in a very fast pace. My neverending learning process had begun ... reading, researching, experimenting. The books by Suzan Moyer became the wide open door to realize ... at last! ... my deepest wish.

In 1985 I chose to immigrate to Canada where I am still living and working.

I love to create, to feel, to touch ... today I am extremely happy to offer, amongst others, scarves in different silk weights and weaves, handpainted in many (and always growing) different techniques. I find my inspiration primarily in nature, often through my own photography. The results may be reality-like, abstract ... multicolored or monochrome ... You name it!

I am using every free moment to create my art and develop my silk painting business as well as enjoying photography. One day - hopefully soon - I will be able to do it full-time.
